- Mike Recine is probably one of the most respected comedians in all of New York City, possibly the world. You might have seen him on Conan, if you watched Conan in 2014 and 2016. Mike also has a half hour special on Comedy Central. Some of his credits include Showtime's Flatbush Misdemeanors and Pause with Sam Jay on HBO. - The Empire Comedy Classic is a Comedy Competition consisting of a maximum of 48 comedians, competing for a CASH PRIZE, a spot on the 2 Year Anniversary Weekend in December, as well as being added to Empire's rotation of comics opening for National Headliners. Comics will be challenged to perform for 5 minutes in Rd 1, and as they advance, the time of their performance will increase. The 3 comics that make it to the finals will perform for 18 minutes! Submissions are $5 and will Open on Monday, March 17th, closing on Friday, April 18th.
